Introduction

Newly architected Capture One 4 allows photographers to enhance and develop RAW digital files

with excellent color and detail reproduction. Providing best possible image quality is a cornerstone in

Capture One. Tools for this and excellent “out-of-the-box” results are part of the new Capture One 4.

Capture One 4 is designed with an easy workflow in mind, and the simplified new user interface

leaves more of the screen area to your images.

Highlighted new features

This new release of Capture One comes in three versions: 4.5, 4.5 PRO and 4.5 DB.

Capture One 4.5 is a free service release to existing Capture One 4.x owners.

Capture One 4.5 PRO/DB is a major upgrade to the respective versions Capture One 3.x. Existing

customers with Capture One 3.x PRO/DB can upgrade to Capture One 4.5 PRO/DB respectively at

no extra cost.

Some of the highlighted new features in Capture One 4.5 PRO/DB are:

- Tethered shooting: Speed up your workflow by connecting a Phase One digital back or

supported Canon DSLRs to a computer and capture images directly into the computer.

- Lens tools: Enhance lens performance by using the new tools to minimize chromatic

aberration, purple fringing, distortion, sharpness falloff and light falloff. Make creative effects

with new vignetting tools.

- Color Editor: An intuitive toolset for selectively customizing image colors to perfection and

consistent reproduction.

- Skin Tone: Set and reproduce skin tones shot under a variety of light conditions without using

a gray card.

- Styles: Explore and create unique looks with the Styles feature and reproduce them

consistently with ease.

- Sessions: Streamline your photographic jobs using Sessions to organize all your captures,

selects, processed images and more in one place.

- Customizable tools: Setup up Capture One to your work preference and situation at any given

time. Create custom tool tabs with your own toolsets, work with multi monitor set up and

undock tools to have them readily available in your image where you want them.

Глюкавая версия. Судя через всё, в самое ближайшее время можно ждать пофиксенной версии.

По ощущениям - стал несколько медленнее, но алгоритм конвертации заметно улучшили.

Да, что-то на на Маке глючит, порой закрывается без особых на то причин. На ПС пока не пробовал.

И по скорости стал тормознее предыдущих версий.

Чёт там заявлено, что поддерживается Nikon D700, а у меня прога NEF-ки с него упорно не видит...

Скачал, поставил. Было все нормально. Конвертил фотки на ура. Сегодня открыл прогу, поменял папку для загрузки свежих фоток, она начала создавать прсомотровые картинки (это внизу такие маленькие) на них было видно изображение. Потом дойдя до последней фотки, изображения один за другим начали пропадать, т.е. стали черные. При кликании на иконку изображения- в программе оно загружается как черное (т.е.изображения нет). Я в шоке. Поменял на другую папку, в т.ч. где записано в JPG - один хрен - все черное. Блин -че бы это значило?

Capture One 4.7 includes:



- Introduction of new Enhanced Image Package file format (with .eip file extension).

o With the new file format you can combine images and their settings into one file. This

will simplify image archiving and management and make it easier to share adjusted

RAW files (e.g. with retouchers or pre-press). With the new file format your images and

settings are packaged into one file without compromising the original images and

settings. It is always possible to unpack your original images and settings. It is possible

to capture tethered directly to .eip and it is possible to convert existing files into .eip

files. The Enhanced Image Package file format is currently available for Phase One

digital backs only.

- Support for jpeg and tiff files as “input” files.

o It is now possible to make adjustments to jpeg and tiff files similarly to RAW files. The

same* adjustment tools are available for jpeg/tiffs as for RAW files. For optimal image

quality it is recommended to capture and work with images in RAW format.

- Improved quality of P 65+ Sensor+ images

o Notably in high ISO and longer exposure ranges.

- (PRO) Tethered capture support for Canon 5D Mark II and Nikon D3X

- Usability improvements notably for:

o Batch renaming and output naming

o Adjusting numeric input field using keyboard arrows keys

- Windows Imaging Component (WIC) codec and Quick Look plug-in (Mac OS) for Phase

One digital back files:

o The WIC codec and the Quick Look plug-in are imaging components that work on an

operating system level. These additions give you high-quality previews of the original

RAW files at OS level (e.g. in the Finder or Windows Explorer). 3rd

party applications

supporting these components will also be able to show the high-quality previews.

Currently Phase One digital back files with .iiq and .eip extensions are supported.

Phase One has announced version 2.8 of Capture One 4, PRO and DB RAW workflow software. The latest update provides support for the P40+ and Olympus E-620. It also provides improved camera support for the P65+, Leica D-Lux 4 and Olympus E-30 digital cameras.
